The MPET foil is a kind of composite flexible packaging material formed by using a special process to deposit an extremely thin layer of metallic aluminum on the surface of a plastic film. The aluminum foil film is a packaging film made of pure aluminum paper. The thermal insulation effects of MPET Foil Insulation and Alu Foil Insulation are not very different, and both have excellent thermal insulation performance. However, the lifespan of pure aluminum foil is much longer. Under normal outdoor conditions, the MPET foil can be used for 3 to 5 years, while the pure aluminum foil can be used for 6 to 10 years. How can we distinguish between the MPET foil and the pure aluminum foil?

The aluminum foil film and the MPET foil can be distinguished from the following aspects:

1. Visual inspection: Because the brightness of the aluminum foil is not as high as that of the MPET foil. The MPET foil can reflect a human figure, except for the matte MPET foil. The appearance of the matte MPET foil is very similar to that of the aluminum foil. You can seal the mouth of the bag and look inside the bag through strong light. The inside of the aluminum foil does not transmit light, and if it transmits light, it is the MPET foil.

2. Touch feeling: The aluminum foil feels thick, hard and heavy, while the MPET foil is lighter in weight and softer than the aluminum foil.

3. Folding: The aluminum foil is likely to form permanent creases and marks when folded, while the MPET foil will not form permanent creases and marks when folded.

4. Twisting: After twisting the aluminum foil, it will gather together and is not easy to rebound, and the aluminum layer will break. After twisting the MPET foil, the twisted part will quickly spring apart.

5. Burning test: The aluminum foil is not easy to burn when ignited with fire. The aluminum layer will curl back, and gray aluminum residues will be left on the aluminum foil packaging after burning. When the MPET foil is burned, it will show different situations of plastic film combustion, and there will be no aluminum residue left.
